Ryan Mulvany carded a 74 on Monday

ERIE, Colo. – The Nevada men’s golf team was in third place after the first round of the Mark Simpson Invitational hosted by Colorado on Monday.
Play was suspended due to darkness prior to the second being completed Monday evening. The second round will resume Tuesday morning with the third round to follow immediately.
Nevada shot a first-round score of 302 in the first round with senior Ryan Mulvany and junior Nicholas Smits each carding first-round 74s at Colorado National. Mulvany and Smits were tied for fifth after the first round. Seniors Brian Knoll and Josh Baskins and freshman Rhyne Jones each shot 77 in the first round and were tied for 26th.
The host Buffaloes were leading at 11-over 299 after the first round with Houston Baptist two shots back and Nevada three back of the lead. Oregon State was seven shots off the lead after the first round, followed by Washington State and Nebraska.
