TUCSON, Ariz. – The Nevada men’s golf team finished the Mountain West Championship in 6th.

Nevada fired an eight-over 292 in the final round and finished with a 26-over 878 for the tournament.

Senior Ryan Mulvany fired a one-over 72 in the final round and finished tied for 10th with a two-over 215. Senior Josh Baskins and freshman Rhyne Jones finished tied for 27th with an eight-over 221. Baskins shot an even-par 71 in the final round.

Senior Brian Knoll tied for 41st and junior Nicholas Smits finished tied for 45th.

“Today was pretty cool,” said head coach Jacob Wilner. “Having three seniors out there playing their last competitive round as members of the Wolf Pack men’s golf team was very special for them and the coaching staff. Brian, Ryan, and Josh have done a terrific job representing Nevada over their careers.”

New Mexico won the tournament with a six-under 846. New Mexico’s Gavin Green and Sand Diego State’s Riccardo Michelini both won the individual tournament with a four-under 209.

This was Nevada’s last tournament of the year, and will be back in action in the fall.
