AUBURN, Calif. – Junior Ryan Mulvany recorded his sixth Top-20 finish of the season at the Winchester Classic, co-hosted by UC Davis and Nevada.

Mulvany finished the tournament tied for 11th after shooting a three-over 75 in the final round. Mulvany finished one stroke out of breaking the Top-10. This is Mulvany’s second straight Top-20 finish. Junior Brian Knoll finished tied for 17th after shooting an even-par 72 in the final round. Sophomore Taylor Knoll shot the team-low round of the day with a one-under 71, and finished tied for 26th.

Freshman Kit Carson finished tied for 40th and sophomore Gustavo Chuang finished tied for 46th.

As a team Nevada shot an eight-over 296 in the final round and finished the tournament in eighth place with a 33-over 897.

“Ryan had a good tournament,” said head coach Jacob Wilner. “He is really close to breaking through in a big way.”

CSU Fullerton won the tournament with a four-over 868. Oklahoma Christian’s Sam Johnston won the individual tournament with a seven-under 209.

This was the last regular season tournament of the season for Nevada. The Wolf Pack will travel to Tucson, Ariz. to play in the Mountain West Championship on May 3.
