AUBURN, Calif. - Junior Ryan Mulvany is tied for 6th place heading into the final round of the Winchester Classic, co-hosted by UC Davis and Nevada.
Mulvany rebounded from a slow start on Friday and came out strong in the second round shooting a two-under 70. Mulvany is tied for sixth with an even-par 144. Mulvany is five shots out of first place.
Freshman Kit Carson shot a seven-over 79 and is tied for 23rd with a five-over 149. Junior Brian Knoll is tied for 27th with a six-over 150 after shooting a one-over 73 in the second round. Sophomores Taylor Knoll and Gustavo Chuang are tied for 36th and 43rd.
As a team Nevada shot a 15-over 303 in the second round, and is in eighth heading into the final round. Nevada is eight shots from breaking the top-five.
UC Davis is leading the tournament with a two-over 578. Oklahoma Christian's Sam Johnston is leading the individual tournament with a five-under 139.
The final 18-hole round will be played on Sunday.
