EL MACERO, Calif. – The Nevada men’s golf team is in seventh after the second round of the El Macero Classic co-hosted by UC Davis and Nevada.

Nevada shot a 16-over 304 in the second round, and sits at a 21-over 597 for the tournament. The final 18-hole round will be played on Sunday.

Senior Josh Baskins fired a four-over 76 in the second round and is tied for 13th with a three-over 147 for the tournament. Senior Ryan Mulvany is one shot behind Baskins after a 5-over 77 and is tied for 19th.

Freshman Rhyne Jones is tied for 34th, junior Nicholas Smits is tied for 42nd, and senior Brian Knoll is tied for 62nd.

Nevada also has four players competing individually. Sophomore Kit Carson is tied for 30th with a seven-over 151 heading into the final round. Junior Gustavo Chuang is tied for 34th, freshman Zach Berhost is tied for 53rd, and Junior Derek Ream is in 69th.
