Pack Finishes 10th At Stanford Intercollegiate

STANFORD, Calif. - Kevin Lucas shot 73 on Sunday and tied for 29th as the Nevada men's golf team took 10th place at the Stanford Intercollegiate.
The tournament, which was played at Stanford Golf Course, featured a top field with more than a half-dozen ranked teams competing. Oregon (841) won the team title by a stroke over USC with the host school taking third at 849 (9 over). Nevada was 45 over for the tournament at 885.
Two of Nevada's freshmen had strong showings overall as Andrew Cornella shot 74 on Sunday and finished tied for 40th with an 11 over 221. Zak Griffiths was a shot back at 222 and tied for 43rd.
Gavin Kwon finished tied for 68th and Gustavo Chuang was 79th.
Nevada will return to action April 9-10 when it travels to Scottsdale, Ariz., to play in the Wyoming Cowboy Classic at Talking Stick GC.
