CRESWELL, Ore. – The Nevada men’s golf team finished tied for sixth after the final round of The Duck Invitational, hosted by Oregon.

Nevada finished tied with Boise State with a 31-over 895 and was two shots behind Loyola Marymount. This is Nevada’s eighth top-10 finish of the season.

Freshman Rhyne Jones shot a two-over 74 in the final round and finished tied for 20th with a seven-over 223. This is Jones’ sixth top-20 finish of the season.

Senior Josh Baskins finished tied for 30th with a nine-over 225. Senior Ryan Mulvany and sophomore Kit Carson both tied for 37th. Senior Brian Knoll finished tied for 41st.

"Although we didnt finsh as strong today as we would have liked to today, we still had a very good tournament," said head coach Jacob Wilner. "It is fun to watch these guys play well and contiune to improve in the rankings."

Oregon State won the tournament with a nine-over 873. Colorado’s Jeremy Paul and Minnesota’s Jose Mendez tied for first in the individual tournament with a three-under 213.

Nevada will be back in action in two weeks when they compete in the Redhawk Invitational on April 7.
