CRESWELL, Ore. – The Nevada men’s golf team is in fifth heading into the final round of The Duck Invitational, hosted by Oregon.

Nevada shot back-to-back seven-over rounds on Monday and is two shots behind Minnesota, and only eight shots out of first place.

Senior Ryan Mulvany leads the team after shooting rounds of 72 and 73, and is tied for sixth with a one-over 145 heading into the final round. Senior Brian Knoll also had a good day, and is tied for 25th with a four-over 148.

Freshman Rhyne Jones and sophomore Kit Carson are tied for 29th with a five-over 149, and senior Josh Baskins is tied for 40th with a six-over 150.

“Today was a prety impressive display by all five guys,” said head coach Jacob Wilner. “They were very consistent, stayed patient, and most importantly are very hungry to improve on that again tomorrow.”

The final 18-hole round will be played on Tuesday at the Emerald Valley Golf Course.
