Nevada Ties for 14th in the Don Puckett National Invitational Tournament

TUCSON, Ariz. – The Nevada men’s golf team tied for 14th after the final round of the Don Puckett National Invitational Tournament, hosted by Arizona.
Junior Brian Knoll led the way for the Pack after shooting a 69, the second-lowest round of the day. Knoll finished the tournament tied for 29th with a two-over 218 for the tournament. Sophomore Andrew Cornella shot an even-par 72 for the last round and finished tied for 67th with a 228.
Nevada as a team shot a eight-over 296 for the last round and finished with a 39-over 903. Nevada finished tied for 14th with Hawai`i.
New Mexico won the tournament with a 20-under 844 for the tournament. TCU’s Julien Brun won the individual race after shooting a 3-over 75 for the final round, and finished with a eight-under 208.
Nevada will be back in action in next week, when it travels to the Bay Area to compete in the Stanford Intercollegiate on March 28.
