ELK GROVE, Calif. - The Nevada men's golf team had three players finish in the top-20 as Nevada finished fifth on Tuesday at the Sacramento State Invitational.
Nevada was led by senior Ryan Mulvany, who finished tied for 16th with a four-over 220. Freshman Rhyne Jones and sophomore Kit Carson finished tied for 20th with a six-over 220. Junior Nicholas Smits finished tied for 31st, and senior Brian Knoll finished tied for 38th.
Nevada also had three players competing as individuals with senior Josh Baskins finishing tied for 27th with a seven-over 223. Junior Gustavo Chuang finished tied for 50th and freshman Zach Berhost finished in 52nd.
Northern Colorado won the tournament with a two-over 866. Northern Colorado's Ben Krueger and Loyola Marymount's Lawrence Ree won the individual tournament with a four-under 212.
Nevada will be back in action next week at the Fresno Lexus Classic.
