Coming off the 500th victory in program history, the Nevada football team remains at home for Senior Day and a showdown against Boise State on Friday at Mackay Stadium ... The game will be televised by ESPN with kickoff at 7:21 p.m. ... Nevada is ranked No. 19 in all three major polls as well as the BCS rankings ... Boise State is fourth in the BCS and is the highest-ranked team to ever play at Mackay Stadium ... This is the first ever matchup of ranked teams in Mackay Stadium history (FBS) ... This week’s matchup includes a pair of Heisman hopefuls in Nevada’s Colin Kaepernick and Boise State’s Kellen Moore ... This is Nevada’s first 10-win season as an FBS member ... Nevada quarterback Colin Kaepernick has been named a semifinalist for the O’Brien Award, the Maxwell Award and the Unitas Trophy ... Kaepernick is nearing a slew of school and NCAA records (more later in this release) ... Nevada running back Vai Taua is over the 1,000-yard rushing mark for the third straight year and he became the fourth back in Nevada history to eclipse the 4,000-yard mark ... Nevada defensive end Dontay Moch is the nation’s active leader in tackles for loss with 60.5 ... Moch’s total is 7th in NCAA history and is also the current school and WAC record ... Included among the returners are six All-WAC players, including a pair of 1,000-yard rushers in senior quarterback Colin Kaepernick and senior running back Vai Taua, as well as the reigning WAC Defensive Player of the Year, senior defensive end Dontay Moch ...
