Despite a last-minute loss at home loss, the Wolf Pack’s quest for back-to-back Western Athletic Conference championships resumes this week in Logan, Utah as Nevada takes on a stout Utah State team seeking bowl eligibility … Nevada has won six straight in the series but the last three victories in Logan have been decided by a total of 12 points … Wolf Pack defensive tackle Brett Roy leads the WAC and is fourth in the nation in both sacks and tackles for loss … Senior wideout Rishard Matthews is fifth in the nation in punt returns and 13th in receiving yards … Nevada leads the WAC and is fifth nationally in total offense … Nevada players lead the WAC in four different statistical categories … This is Nevada’s fourth appearance on the WAC Sports Network (3-0) … Nevada was picked third in the WAC in preseason voting by coaches and media, behind Hawaii and Fresno State … Nevada won the WAC Championship last year along with Boise State and Hawaii ...
