Jefferson Named Midseason All-American By

Oct. 15, 2012

Nevada running back Stefphon Jefferson was named on Monday to the Midseason All-America Team.

Jefferson leads the nation in rushing with his average of 162.9 yards per game and his 15 touchdowns in seven games in 2012 is fourth in the nation. Jefferson is also sixth in the nation in all-purpose yardage with 182.7 yards per game.

Jefferson, a junior from Visalia, Calif., is the only player in the nation who has topped the 1,000-yard mark in rushing so far this season.

Jefferson’s 1,140 yards on the season is already 18th best on Nevada’s single-season charts and the Wolf Pack still has five regular season games and a potential bowl game remaining.
