Coming off its first win of the season, the long, strange four-game, season-opening road trip continues for the Nevada football team this week with a trip to Lubbock, Texas to face Texas Tech ... Nevada is 0-1 all-time against the Red Raiders, having lost at home to the then-Mike Leach-coached squad, 35-19 ... Nevada is coming off a WAC-opening win at San Jose State last week while Texas Tech throttled New Mexico ... The Wolf Pack had some offensive struggles against the Spartans but received strong play on the defensive side, including a game-saving interception by safety Duke Williams with just over a minute to play ... Nevada junior running back Mike Ball won the second WAC Offensive Player of the Week honor of his career on Monday for his performance against San Jose State ... Nevada punter Jake Hurst is the reigning WAC Special Teams Player of the Week after a career day against the Spartans ... This will be the longest road trip of the year for Nevada ...
