After earning career win No. 1 for first-year head coach Brian Polian, the Nevada football team hits the road again this week to face No. 10/9 Florida State in a nationally televised (ESPN) matchup at Doak Campbell Stadium in Tallahassee, Fla., on Saturday … This is Nevada second road game at a nationally ranked foe already this year … This is the first ever meeting between the teams and Nevada has never played a game in the Sunshine State … This is the second straight season Nevada has played a team from Florida (South Florida in Mackay Stadium last year) … Nevada returns four players who earned All-Mountain West honors a year ago in WR Brandon Wimberly (first team), QB Cody Fajardo (second team), DE Brock Hekking (second team) and OL Joel Bitonio (honorable mention) ... Wimberly has caught a pass in all 42 games of his career – the longest streak in the nation ... This is the third of four non-conference games for Nevada and three to open the year ... Nevada returns 14 starters and 34 letterwinners from the 2012 team that went 7-6 overall.
