Coming off a season-opening 49-24 win over Eastern Washington last week at Mackay Stadium, the 2010 season rolls on under the lights this week as Nevada plays host to Colorado State on Saturday at Mackay ... The game will be televised on ESPNU, the first of five scheduled national TV appearances for Nevada this season ... Nevada will be playing its future Mountain West Conference foe for the 11th time ... The last time these teams met at Mackay Stadium, Nevada took a 29-10 victory in 2006 ... Senior quarterback Colin Kaepernick needs just 34 rushing yards to become the eighth member of the NCAA’s 3,000-3,000 club (rushing yards and passing yards) ... If Kaepernick gets those 34 rushing yards, he’ll be the seventh Nevada player -- and the first quarterback -- to hit 3,000 rushing yards in a career ... The other six members of Nevada’s 3,000 rushing yards club are: Frank Hawkins, Charvez Foger, Chris Lemon, Chance Kretschmer, Vai Taua and Luke Lippincott ... The Wolf Pack returns 15 starters from last year’s team that went 8-5 overall and 7-1 (second place) in Western Athletic Conference play ... Included among the returners are six All-WAC players, including a pair of 1,000-yard rushers in senior quarterback Colin Kaepernick and senior running back Vai Taua, as well as the reigning WAC Defensive Player of the Year, senior defensive end Dontay Moch ... Overall, Nevada returns nine starters on offense as the Wolf Pack led the nation in rushing in 2009 ... Nevada is coming off its fifth consecutive bowl appearance.
