RENO, Nev. – Single-game tickets for two University of Nevada football games, against UNLV and BYU, will go on sale at 10 a.m. Thursday.

Nevada will play host to UNLV on Oct. 26 (Nevada Day weekend) in the annual Battle for the Fremont Cannon at Mackay Stadium. The Wolf Pack has won eight straight games in the rivalry and holds a 23-15 advantage all-time in the series against its southern rivals. The showdown against UNLV will also be the University’s Homecoming weekend.

BYU will make just its second trip to Reno since 1939 on Nov. 30. The Cougars feature standout linebacker Kyle Van Noy, a local product from McQueen High School. Nevada has won the last two meetings with the BYU, 27-13 in Provo in 2010, and 31-28 over the then-25th ranked Cougars in 2002. The game is the final one of the regular season and Nevada will honor its seniors prior to the game.

Single-game tickets for those two premium games begin at $31 with discounts available for children and seniors. Fans can also purchase the two games are part of the “Power Pack,” which features tickets for Nevada’s games against UC Davis (Chris Ault Appreciation Night) UNLV and BYU starting at just $70.

With more than three weeks to go before the Wolf Pack’s home opener, the school has set a record for the most new season tickets sold in an offseason. The previous record was 1,909 new season tickets, set last year. As of Wednesday afternoon, the school has sold 1,951 new season tickets for this season, the first under new head coach Brian Polian.

Single-game tickets for the other four home games start at just $21 with discounts available for children and seniors. 2013 Nevada football season tickets are now on sale and start at just $90 for adults and $35 for youth (8th grade and younger). The Wolf Pack will hold an open scrimmage on Saturday night at Mackay Stadium – the first official scrimmage of training camp – and fans are invited to stick around after the game and get autographs from the team’s top players. The team will be on the field at Mackay Stadium at 7:30 p.m. and the scrimmage will begin shortly after 8. Fans are asked to sit in the stands until after the scrimmage.

Parking is available for free in the West Stadium Parking Complex and the main gates (southwest entrance) to Mackay will be open. Fans can also pick up the 2013 schedule poster for free at the scrimmage.
