RENO, Nev. – Nevada football fans wanting tickets for the season-opener at Cal on Sept. 1 have until Friday to purchase them from the Wolf Pack athletics department.
Nevada has sold roughly 2,000 tickets for the game, which is the first in Cal’s renovated Memorial Stadium, and fewer than 500 remain from the Wolf Pack’s allotment. Buying tickets from Nevada’s ticket office ensures that fans will be able to sit in the Wolf Pack section at the game.
After Friday, any unsold tickets from Nevada’s allotment will be returned to Cal and thus subject to availability only from Cal.
Nevada’s ticket office is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. Fans can purchase tickets in person at the Link Piazzo Ticket Office at Legacy Hall or by calling 775-348-PACK.
The game will mark the second-game of a three-game series between Cal and Nevada, which began in 2010 when Nevada took a 52-31 win over Cal in Reno. That season culminated with the Wolf Pack winning the Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl over Boston College at AT&T Park, a game in which an estimated 30,000 Wolf Pack fans made the trip to the Bay Area.
