RENO, Nev. – Three Nevada Wolf Pack football players were honored by the team following spring drills, which culminated Saturday with the annual Silver and Blue Spring Game.
Senior offensive lineman Kyle Roberts was named the team’s Most Improved Player, an award that spans the offseason conditioning period and spring practices. Roberts started 11 games at tackle in 2013 and, along with center Matt Galas, is Nevada’s most experienced lineman returning this fall.
The Battle Born Award, given to the player or players who embody the ideals of the program on the field, in the classroom and in the community, was given to senior quarterback Cody Fajardo and junior linebacker Bryan Lane Jr.
The Blue team, led by Fajardo, beat the Silver team 12-10 on Saturday to conclude spring drills.
The 2014 season opens Aug. 30 when Nevada plays host to Southern Utah at Mackay Stadium. Season tickets are on sale now, starting at just $99. Call (775) 348-PACK or visit NevadaWolfPack.com to purchase or for more information.
