Nevada 2002: Zack Threadgill continues to have a stellar season season, throwing for over 2,000 yards and 20 touchdowns. He had his fifth game of at least 300 yards at Louisiana Tech and has only been under 200 yards passing in one game, the opener at Washington State with 155 yards. He had 338 yards and three TD’s at Louisiana Tech and threw for 233 yards vs. San Jose State with three touchdowns, completing 20 of 29 passes with one interception. He added 241 yards and two TD’s at Hawaii, breaking a string of four straight 300-yard passing outings. The Glendale, Ariz., native is seventh in the nation in total offense with 309.0 yards p/game and second in the WAC and 14th in the NCAA and second in the WAC in passing efficiency (147.1) as well as eighth in completions per game (24). He has thrown for over 2,700 yards in nine games with 22 TD’s, including a career-best 410 yards and a personal-best four touchdowns in the win over then 24th-ranked BYU. He added 408 yards with four TD’s and no interceptions vs. Rice and 341 yards, three TD’s and two interceptions vs. Colorado State and had his fourth straight 300-game with 306 yards at UNLV. He has completed 64.3 percent of his passes and thrown to 10 different receivers, including seven different receivers in the BYU game with four different players catching TD passes from him in that contest. The WAC honored him in consecutive weeks for the BYU and Rice games as Offensive Player-of-the-Week. 2001: Started two games, on the road, and played in nine in seeing his first significant action. Threw for 297 yards and a TD on 30-53 at Boise State and added 265 yards on 25-44 and a TD at Colorado State. 2000: Injured the entire season due to a torn Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) suffered in spring game 2000. Should contend for backup duties for No. 2 or 3 QB spot where there is fierece competition. Has good size and knowledge of the system. 1999: Played in two games and passed 33 times, completing 15 with two interceptions and 177 yards and no touchdowns. Carried the ball eight times for eight yards. 1998: Red-shirted. High School: Earned three letters each in football and baseball at Apollo HS in Glendale, AZ. Was a member of the 1995 and ’97 regional championship football teams. He earned All-Region first-team honors from 1996-97 and was the All-Arizona first-team quarterback in 1997 as well as the Northwest Valley Player-of-the-Year.
