Will compete for playing time at cornerback... started nine games in 2004 but missed all of last season with a knee injury... should play an important role in the defensive backfield this year.
2005: Redshirted after tearing his ACL... missed the entire season and most of spring drills in 2006.
2004: Played in 11 games with nine starts... was eighth on the team with 42 tackles.... added one forced fumble and three breakups on the year... had his best outing of the season with nine tackles (five solo) at San Diego State... made seven tackles vs. Buffalo and again vs. Rice... all seven tackles vs. the Owls were solo stops.
2003: Played in 10 games with three starts as a true freshman... tallied 13 total tackles and one interception... also saw time as a kick returner, returning four balls for 67 yards.
A graduate of Taft High School in Woodland Hills, Calif.... was an all-city selection as a defensive back in 2001 and 2002... earned all-area honors as a senior defensive back... ran on the All-America 4x400-meter and 4x200-meter relay teams... was also part of the Los Angeles city record-setting 4x100-meter relay team... had 59 catches and 15 touchdowns and added eight interceptions as a two-way player his senior year... was ranked as the 19th-best cornerback on the West Coast by PacWestFootball.com and was on the top 100 list in California by Cal-Hi Sports...three-time state track meet finalist... played in the last two city championship football games.
