Nevada 2004: Played in 10 games and rushed for 450 yards on 100 attempts for a 4.5 yards per carry average. Was second on team in rushing and tied Chance Kretschmer, the team's top rusher, for the team lead in touchdowns with seven. Best games were 83 yards on 14 carries and a TD vs. Sacramento State and 73 yards on 26 carries and a TD vs. San Jose State. 2003: Played in 10 games and rushed for 314 yards on 61 carries and scored three touchdowns. Was instrumental in win at Washington. 2002: As a true freshman he rushed for 232 yards on 59 attempts. Scored three touchdowns. Played in 10 games and started once. High School: Mitchell led Del Oro High School to an 11-2 mark and a sectional final appearance in the fall of 2001. The running back had over 2,100 yards rushing and scored 23 touchdowns, earning the Sacramento Bee's Offensive Player-of-the-Year Award.
