Coaching Experience
Kim McCloud is in his seventh year at Nevada and his second as the Wolf Pack's cornerbacks coach. He spent his first four years in Reno working with the secondary and served as Nevada's wide receivers coach in 2004.

In 2005, McCloud helped coach Joe Garcia, a junior college transfer who earned first-team All-WAC honors. Among his other pupils who have earned postseason accolades are Nichiren Flowers, who was second in the WAC in receiving yards and receptions in 2004. He also helped coach two of the Wolf Pack's leading tacklers in 2002 and 2003 in cornerbacks Marlon McLaughlin and Chris Handy.

McCloud recruits his hometown, Los Angeles, for the Pack. He began his coaching career in 1995 as an assistant coach at Kaiser High School in Honolulu, Hawai`i. He joined the staff at University of Missouri as a graduate assistant in 1997 and helped the Tigers earn a trip to the Holiday Bowl that season. In 1998, he went to Idaho as the cornerbacks coach and helped the Vandals capture the Big West title and win the Humanitarian Bowl.

Playing Experience
A four-year letter winner and and three-year starter for the University of Hawai`i, McCloud earned honorable-mention All-WAC honors as a defensive back and was selected to the All-WAC Academic Team in 1990. In 1991, McCloud tried out with the San Diego Chargers as a free agent and then went on to play two seasons in the Canadian Football League with the Saskatchewan Roughriders. In high school, he was an all-city wide receiver and defensive back at Los Angeles High.

Personal:
McCloud earned his bachelor's degree in economics and sociology at Hawai`i in 1991. He met his wife, Renee, while attending college, and the couple married in 1993. They have two children, Kaleb and Rachel.
