Nevada Opens 2012 Campaign At Cal

Wolf Pack's season opener is Saturday at newly renovated Memorial Stadium in Berkeley.


2012: Returns to compete for the place-kicking duties after missing the final 10 games of the 2011 season with a hip injury.

2011: Returned to start the season as the Wolf Pack's kicker but suffered a hip injury and played in just three games ... Connected on eight of nine extra-point attempts ... Was also good on three of five field-goal attempts.

2010: Took advantage of an opportunity and won the place-kicking job coming out of fall camp ... Set a school record with 76 successful point-after-touchdown attempts on the year ... Was 10-of-14 on field goal attempts during the season ... Earned WAC Special Teams Player of the Week honor after a three-field goal performance in a win over Colorado State ... Nailed the biggest field goal in school history with a 34-yard game-winner in overtime against then-No. 3 Boise State ... His 109 total points scored was the second-highest single-season total in school history.

2009: Joined the program as an invited walk-on and did not play while redshirting ... Made the travel squad for the Sheraton Hawai`i Bowl.

A graduate of McQueen High School in Reno, Nev. ... Was a three-year letterman for coach Ken Dalton ... Helped team to league and regional championships as a junior and a state title as a senior ... As a junior, earned all-region honors as a defensive back and all-state honors as a kicker ... Was named all-region as a running back, kicker and kick returner as a senior.
