Austin Corbett and Malik Reed represented on the second team, while James Butler, Wyatt Demps and Asauni Rufus grab honorable mentions.

JUNIOR (2017) - Named to the preseason All-Mountain West first team by Athlon Sports ... Had a breakout sophomore campaign, earning all-conference honors for the first time ... One of the top defensive ends in the Mountain West who is a threat in all facets of the defensive game.

– Earned second team All-Mountain West honors for the first time in his career and was named second team All-MW by Phil Steele … Set a career high with nine tackles against Fresno State (10/8) with three tackles for loss, also a career high … Recorded a career-high two sacks against Wyoming (10/22) … Finished the year with 59 tackles, 44 of those being solo … Had a total of five sacks on the year and 9.5 tackles for loss … Forced three fumbles, including two at Hawai’i (10/1), which ranked 27th in the nation and third in the conference … Played and started in all 12 games of the year … Pack’s defensive player of the week following the Fresno State victory … Named the team’s outstanding defensive player and earned the Pack’s defensive full speed effort award … Letter winner.

REDSHIRT FRESHMAN (2015) - Saw action in all 13 games … Posted 18 tackles, 3.5 tackles for loss, one sack and one pass breakup … Tallied his first career start against Pac-12 foe Arizona … Tallied a season-high five tackles with 1.5 TFL against Arizona … Posted two tackles and his first career sack against rivals UNLV … Opened the season with two tackles and one TFL against UC Davis … Saw action in Nevada’s victory in the 2015 Arizona Bowl … Earned Academic All-Mountain West honors … Letter winner.

FRESHMAN (2014) - Did not see action … Redshirted.

HIGH SCHOOL - From Dothan (Ala.) High School ... Was named Super 12 All-Region and team Defensive MVP as a senior after recording 92 tackles, eight sacks, 12 TFLs and 12 quarterback hurries at Dothan ... Lettered three years ... Was in National Honor Society and was invited to the National Youth Leadership Forum of Medicine.

PERSONAL - Born Malik Reed ... Son of Michelle Ebikake and Anthony Reed ... Earning a degree in biology ... Father played basketball at Troy and is enshrined in the school's Hall of Fame ... Was also recruited by Army, Navy, Georgia Southern, Wake Forest and UAB.
