2011: Missed spring drills while recovering from offseason knee surgery but is expect to compete for the starting job he has held for each of the past two seasons ... Named preseason third-team All-WAC by Phil Steele.

2010: Was a beast on the defensive front, again starting all 14 games for the Pack ... Run-stopping tackle was credited with 28 tackles on the year ... Recorded 3.5 tackles for a loss of nine yards, including 1.5 sacks ... Was credited with one pass breakup and also recovered a fumble, which came against San Jose State.

2009: Started all 13 games at one of the defensive tackle positions and was one of the most consistent players on that side of the ball ... Set a career-high with 26 tackles during the regular season ... Also had 5.0 tackles for a loss of 13 yards, which included 1.5 sacks on the year ... Was credited with a pass breakup against Colorado State.

2008: Saw action in nearly every game and was a solid contributor off the bench ... Recorded first career sack against Utah State.

2007: Redshirted his first year at Nevada ... Was named one of the team's winners of the Full-Speed, Effort and Habit Awards as a Scout Team Player of the Year in voting by the coaches and teammates.

A graduate of San Ramon Valley High School in Danville, Calif. ... Named to the "Cream of the Crop" list by the Contra Costa Times after senior season in which he was a first-team All-East Bay Athletic League Selection ... Named to first-team defense on the All-Contra Costa Times team and the All-East Bay team (Tri-Valley Herald) ... Named to second-team defense on the All-Metro Team by the San Francisco Chronicle...Recorded 160 tackles and 16.5 sacks in his final two seasons at San Ramon Valley ... Awarded school's Leader of the Pack Award for most outstanding leadership qualities ... Earned CIF Scholar-Athlete Award for the North Coast Section.
