JUNIOR (2017) -  Enters the 2017 season as one of Nevada’s top defensive tackles … Played on the first string defensive unit in the spring scrimmage … Will battle for a starting job.

- Finished the year with 23 tackles, including a sack and three for loss … Recorded his sack at Purdue (9/24) … His season-high six tackles came at New Mexico (11/5) … Played in all 12 games of the year with six starts … Letter winner.

REDSHIRT FRESHMAN (2015) - Played in 12 games with two starts … Tallied 13 tackles, 2.0 tackles for loss, one sack and one pass breakup … Made his first career start against UC Davis and also started at Fresno State … Set a season-high with three tackles in Nevada’s win over Fresno State … Tallied his first career sack in Nevada’s overtime win against San Jose State … Posted one tackle in Nevada’s victory in the 2015 Arizona Bowl … Earned Academic All-Mountain West honors … Letter winner.

FRESHMAN (2014) - Did not see action in the regular season.

HIGH SCHOOL - From East High School in Salt Lake City ... Was a 2012 all-state selection as a junior before suffering an injury three games into his senior season ... Was the All-Poly Camp MVP in 2012 and 2013 ... Also earned all-region honors and was a team captain ... Registered 17.5 sacks as a junior and four as a senior ... Honor roll student who won a national essay contest and traveled to Washington D.C. ... Earned a total of 11 varsity letters.

Stepfather, Keith Johnson, is a former major leaguer who is now the manager of the Salt Lake Bees, Triple-A affiliate of the Angels ... Is also related to NBA players Brandon and Kareem Rush and Justin Harrison, who played football at Illinois ... Communications major ... Was also recruited by Arizona State, Ole Miss, Illinois, Boise State, UNLV, Utah State and UTEP.
