Redshirted his first season at Cincinnati and left the school in 2009 for family reasons.

A graduate of Fremont High School in Los Angeles, Calif. ... Earned three varsity letters in football ... Was an all-area selection and team co-MVP as a senior as well as earning first-team all-city and all-league ... Earned first-team all-league and second-team all-city honors as a junior ... Named second-team all-league as a defensive back as a sophomore ... Played both ways in high school, recording 170 tackles, 900 rushing yards, 1,200 receiving yards, 23 touchdowns and nine interceptions in his career ... Lettered four years in track and field and lettered once in tennis and once in volleyball.
