FRESHMAN (2017) – Joins the Wolf Pack as a true freshman for the 2017 season.

HIGH SCHOOL – Graduated from Elmira High School in the state of Oregon where he was a three-sport athlete in football, wrestling and track & field … Earned many honors for football including first team all-league honors as a senior for offensive line and defensive line, two second team all-league honors at OL and one second team all-league honor at DL … Was a national FS/GR wrestler for two years and earned multiple state placings as well as multiple district honors … Named the Individual Athlete of the Year in 2017 and was named a Community Hero of Veneta … Member of Key Club, the Tolerance & Diversity club and Chamber Choir.

PERSONAL – Son of Kimberly Lillie and Larry Porter … Has three younger sisters, Megan, Caetlyn and Ava … Will major in engineering but is undecided on the type of engineering … Also recruited by Western Oregon, Montana State Northern and Olivet Nazarene … Lists Elmira linemen Zane Wardwell and Kyle Smith as his sports heroes … The most memorable moment of his career was winning 4A OSAA wrestling in Oregon … Enjoys snowboarding, playing video games, hiking and biking in his free time … Once saved his mom’s life from cardiac arrest in the middle of his senior wrestling season … Quote on why he chose Nevada, “I felt it was the best choice for me academically and athletically. I also saw myself being able to make Reno a home away from home.”
