RENO, Nev. – University of Nevada head men’s basketball coach David Carter announced the Wolf Pack’s 2012-13 schedule today. The Pack will host 17 regular season home games and one home exhibition contest this year. Nevada went 28-7 last season and captured its sixth Western Athletic Conference title but this year the Pack will compete the nine-team Mountain West that sent four times to the NCAA tournament a year ago.
"We are very excited about this year’s schedule,” Carter said. “We host 17 home games at Lawlor in front of our fans. The preseason schedule will prepare us for a tough Mountain West schedule starting in January."
After a home exhibition contest with Oregon Tech on Nov. 6, and the season-opener on Nov. 10 at UC Irvine, Lawlor Events Center will play host Nov. 16-18 to the four-team World Vision Classic, which includes Cal State Fullerton, Wisconsin-Green Bay, Southern Utah and the Wolf Pack. Nevada opens with CSF on Friday then take on Wisconsin-Green Bay and Southern Utah the next two days.

The Pack opens the 16-game MW schedule at Air Force on Jan. 9 then returns home for its first MW contest at Lawlor on Jan. 12 versus Wyoming. February begins with a road trip to New Mexico followed by a pair of home games with Colorado State and Air Force. The Pack will also host Fresno State on Feb. 19. The month ends with road contests at San Diego State and Boise State.
UNLV and New Mexico come to Lawlor Events Center the first week of March and MW play concludes on Mar. 9 at Colorado State.
Wolf Pack MW games will appear on either CBSSN or NBCSN a total of eight times this season. Both of Nevada’s games – home and away – against UNLV, New Mexico, San Diego State and Colorado State will be shown on one of the two networks.
