RENO, NEV. - Spots are still available for the July 29-Aug. 1 University of Nevada Boys Basketball camp that will be held at the Boys and Girls Club of Truckee Meadows. Those wishing to attend camp can sign up online at www.unr.edu/sportscamps or on Monday morning at the camp
The camps are for boys entering grades three through eight. The camp runs from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. each day with supervision provided from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. daily. Fee for the camp is $170 per camper.
The Pack summer camp features individual instruction including techniques and fundamentals, offensive and defensive instruction and competitive games and drills. Participants will enjoy the positive atmosphere that comes from learning and playing basketball at the University of Nevada. Participants will receive a camp T-shirt.
All camps will have excellent supervision and will be staffed with an athletic trainer. Camps are designed to enhance each player and provide instruction based on ability and skill level. Campers will be separated by age and skill level. Guest speakers and clinics will also be a part of the camp experience. For the first time Gatorade is a sponsor of the boys camps this year.
