RENO, Nev. -
The Nevada athletics department announced today that season ticket prices for the 2012-13 Wolf Pack men's basketball season will not increase and fans will now be able to spread their payments out over a period of three months.
In order to renew their tickets, season ticketholders will simply need to complete and return an "Intent to Renew" form no later than Tuesday, June 5. Receipt of that form will allow the Wolf Pack ticket office to hold a customer's seats and will give customers the option to delay their payment as late as September 10. In past seasons, season ticketholders in premium sections were required to pay for their tickets by July and those in non-premium sections by mid-October.
In addition to allowing season ticketholders to delay payment, this change will also greatly enhance the renewal process by allowing the ticket office the ability to seat and upgrade season ticketholders sooner and sell available inventory to new season ticketholders during the summer months.
The "Intent to Renew" forms will be mailed to season ticketholders this week. Any seats not renewed by the June 5 deadline will be made immediately available for upgrades by other season ticketholders or for sale to the general public.
Forms can be returned via mail to Wolf Pack Athletics, Legacy Hall 232, Reno, NV 89557. Fans can also visit the Link Piazzo Ticket Office at Legacy Hall to return their forms. Fans with questions about the process are urged to call the ticket office at (775) 348-PACK (7225).
Additional payment information will be mailed in June to all customers who have submitted their "Intent to Renew" forms. All renewals must be paid in full by September 10. Season ticketholders will have the option of making a one-time payment or breaking their payments into three installments due July 10, August 10 and September 10. Any seats not paid in full by September 10 will be made immediately available for upgrades by other season ticketholders or for sale to the general public.
Nevada is coming off a stellar season where the Wolf Pack won the Western Athletic Conference title and advanced to the quarterfinals of the National Invitation Tournament for the first time in school history. The Wolf Pack returns three dynamic starters from last year's 28-7 team, including the 2012 WAC Player of the Year Deonte Burton, Malik Story and Jerry Evans Jr.
The 2012-13 season will mark Nevada's first in the Mountain West Conference, a league that qualified a conference-record four teams for the 2012 NCAA Tournament. The Mountain West has had at least one NCAA at-large qualifier in each of the last 11 years. Conference teams that will be making stops at Lawlor Events Center in 2012-13 include 2012 NCAA qualifiers UNLV, New Mexico, Colorado State and San Diego State as well as Air Force, Boise State, Fresno State and Wyoming.
Nevada is also currently taking orders for new season tickets. Season tickets are available in all areas of Lawlor Events Center with ticket prices ranging from $180 to $750 with some sections requiring a donation to the Pack Educational Fund. New orders may not be seated until after the final renewal deadline depending on location requested.
