SAN DIEGO (AP)-Malik Story had a game-high 33 points in a losing effort as Nevada was defeated by San Diego State 88-75 Saturday.
Jamaal Franklin had 23 points and 11 rebounds for San Diego State, who extended its school-record streak of 20-win seasons to eight.
Overall, it's the ninth time the Aztecs have won 20 games in coach Steve Fisher's 14 seasons.
Chase Tapley had 17 points, JJ O'Brien and Winston Shepard 14 apiece and DeShawn Stephens and Xavier Thames 10 each for SDSU. The Aztecs (20-7, 8-5 Mountain West) entered the day tied for third in the conference with UNLV, which played at Wyoming on Saturday night.
Skylar Spencer had four blocked shots to set the SDSU and Mountain West freshman single-season record with 47.

Nevada is 12-14, 3-9 in the Mountain West after falling 88-75 at San Diego State (20-7, 8-5 MW) today.
Malik Story scored a game-high 33 points. It was his third 30 plus point game of the season and fourth of his career. His career-high is 35 set earlier this season at home against Yale.
Story made12-of-22 shots, 7-of-11 from behind the arc. The seven 3-pointers tied his career high which he accomplished for the third time and second time this season.
It was the ninth time Story posted a game-high in points this season.
Story moved past teammate Deonte Burton into 11th on the career scoring list with 1,385 points. Burton has 1,366 after scoring 12 today.
Nevada put three players in double figures as Jerry Evans, Jr. finished with 16 to join Burton and Story in double digits.
Story led the Pack in scoring for the 10th time this season 29th of his career.
Jordan Burris led the Pack with eight rebounds. It is the sixth time Burris led the team in rebounding.
Burton and Story have started all 93 games of their careers in the Pack backcourt.
Fourth-year head coach David Carter is 74-53 at Nevada.
Nevada plays at Boise State on Feb. 27 at 5 p.m. PT.
