RENO, Nev. - University of Nevada head baseball coach Gary Powers has signed three junior college transfers to play for the Wolf Pack in 2013.  Michael Bradshaw, Bryce Barger and Joe Setum will compete for the Pack next season as they make the move to the Mountain West Conference.  Nevada went 32-25 this past season and earned a share of its first Western Athletic Conference title.

Bradshaw is a 6-4, 180-pound right-handed pitcher who played at Linn-Benton Community College in Albany, Ore. where he earned first-team All-Northwest Athletic Association of Community Colleges Southern Division honors.  In 11 starts the Medford, Ore. product was 5-3 with 1.92 ERA in 70 innings on the mound his sophomore season.

A 5-11, 180-pound infielder, Barger played the last two years at Fresno City College in Fresno, Calif. and earned first-team All-Central Valley Conference honors his sophomore season.  The Clovis, Calif. product batted .305 with seven doubles, 26 runs scored and 30 runs batted in 2012.

Setum earned first-team All-Big 8 Conference honors at Sacramento City College in Sacramento, Calif.  this past season.  The 6-4, 210-pound catcher from Galt, Calif.  batted .301 with 16 runs scored, five doubles and 21 runs batted in his sophomore season.

"I'm excited to add these three quality players to our recruiting class as we move into the Mountain West Conference," Powers said.  "They will provide experience to the team after playing two years in junior college and fill specific needs for next season.  All three will get a chance to compete for starting spots in the fall."
