RENO, Nev. - Playing for the Klamath Falls Gems for the Klamath Falls Gems of the West Coast League this summer University of Nevada sophomore third baseman Austin Byler has been selected to the West Division All-Star team.  The Peoria, Ariz. native will play in the WCL all-star game on July 24 at Borleske Stadium in Walla Walla, Wash.

Byler leads the WCL with a .384 batting average, collecting 38 hits in 99 at bats.  He has scored 21 runs, with 11 doubles, three triples, six home runs and driven in 21.  As a freshman this past season at Nevada he appeared in 51 games earning 45 starts as the Wolf Pack went 32-25 and claimed a share of the 2012 Western Athletic Conference title.  For the Pack he batted .276 with eight doubles, a triple, four home runs, 28 runs scored and 22 runs batted in.
