RENO, Nev. - University of Nevada first baseman Kewby Meyer has been named to the Louisville Slugger Freshmen All-America team.  Meyer is the eighth Wolf Pack player to earn freshmen All-America honors and seventh since 2000.  The last Pack freshmen All-America selection was pitcher Tom Jameson in 2010.

Meyer from Waipahu, Hawaii earned second-team All-Western Athletic Conference honors after starting 52 games and playing 56 as the Pack captured a share of the 2012 conference title.  His .324 batting average ranked second on the team and his 34 RBI was third.  He also scored 23 runs had nine doubles, two triples and a home run.
