Nevada drops series finale at Fresno State
FRESNO, Calif. – The University of Nevada (3-8, 1-2 MW) baseball team dropped the final game of three-game Mountain West series 9-5 to Fresno State (6-5, 2-1) at Pete Beiden Field Sunday afternoon. The Bulldogs won the three-game MW series taking games one and three. The Wolf Pack is now 3-8 on the season and 1-2 in conference play while the Bulldogs improved to 6-5 and 2-1 in the MW.

Nevada closes out a six-game homestand hosting Fresno State (18-18, 8-7 MW) for a three-game Mountain West series this weekend. The Bulldogs won two of the three games played earlier this season in Fresno taking games one and three, 3-2 and 9-5. The Wolf Pack won the middle game 10-8.

Team: Nevada's current two-game win streak is the longest of the season ... Nevada is 3-9 in one run game, 9-1 when leading after eight innings and 9-4 when leading after seven innings ... The Wolf Pack have won two series this year both coming at home taking two-of-three from Air Force and San José State.
Position Players: IF Jordan Pearce has reached base in the last 23 games and IF Dillan Shrum the last 18 ... IF Keaton Smith had a streak of reaching base this season at 18 games and is on a current eight game streak ... Grant Fennell (12), Justin Bridgman (11), Tyler Flores (10), and Cole Krzmarzick (10) also had double figure streaks of reaching base ... Smith (GM1) and Pearce (GM3) both hit a grand slam in wins over Air Force ... Nowaczewski was named MW Pitcher of the Week after tossing his first career complete game and the first by a Pack pitcher this season in a 5-4 victory over SJSU on Apr. 15 ... In his last start vs. SJSU Ohl pitched a career-high eight innings to earn the win and allowed two runs ... Two freshman Ohl and Grant Ford (3-3, 6.81 ERA) top the team with three wins each ... Ford was in the weekend rotation the first three weeks before Riley moved into the rotation ... Ohl (3.51 ERA, 3rd), Nowaczewski (3.92 ERA, 6th) and Charpie (5.40 ERA, T10th) all rank in the top 10 in the MW in ERA ... Senior Evan McMahan's 11 career saves is tied with Tyler Graham (2009-10) for fifth most in school history and his 81 career appearances is tied for third ...
