Pack to Take on Reno Aces: The University of Nevada baseball team will play the Reno Aces Tuesday, April 5 at 6 p.m. in an exhibition game at Aces Ballpark. All proceeds go to the Nevada baseball program and tickets can be purchased for $10 at the Legacy Hall ticket office. The exhibition game will feature Aces pitchers and catchers playing for both teams, all players will use wood bats and pitchers will be on a pitch count. The Wolf Pack's roster will include outfielder Britton Murdock, a Reno High School graduate who is currently a senior on the Nevada softball team.

Barnett Hits 21st Career Home Run: Infielder/outfielder Brian Barnett hit his 21st career home run in the second game of the Wolf Pack's first home series of 2011 series vs. UNLV (3/5). The senior hit his 19th and 20th career blasts in the Wolf Pack's season-opening series at UC Irvine. Barnett hit 18 home runs last year in his first season at Nevada, tying him with Ben Mummy and Shawn Scobee for fourth most in a season in Nevada history.

Melino on a Tear: Junior Nick Melino has been hot at the plate in 2011 ... Melino has reached base safely in all 20 of the Pack's games this season and hit safely in 17 of them ... his 28 hits are tied for ninth most in the WAC, .460 OBP is eighth best and .373 batting average in sixth best ... he has seven multi-hit games this year, recording two hits three times and three hits four times.

Stassi Becoming an On-Base Machine: Senior Brock Stassi moved from the middle of the lineup to the leadoff spot at UC Davis (3/8)... Stassi drew six walks and posted a .667 on-base percentage vs. UNLV (3/4-3/6) and has reached base in all but one of the Pack's 20 games this season ... Stassi has a .432 on-base percentage ... the 2010 second team All-WAC utility honoree has drawn 18 walks and been hit by two pitches this season ... his 18 walks are sixth best in the conference.

Jameson has allowed three earned runs in 21 innings in his last three starts after allowing 17 earned runs in only seven innings in his first three starts combined ... defending WAC Pitcher of the Year LHP Brock Stassi made his return to the mound at Washington (3/26) ... Stassi was on a 50 pitch maximum pitch count and gave up five hits and two earned runs in 2.1 innings while earning a no-decision ... he struck out three hitters and walked none ...
