RENO, Nev.  - The University of Nevada (22-18) baseball team scored a season-high 15 runs on Tuesday night at Peccole Park to defeat Pacific (11-28) in a nonconference game15-4.  The Wolf Pack lost the first meeting in the Stockton, Calif. 6-5 back on Apr. 2 but pounded out a season-high 20 hits tonight to improve to 22-18 on the season while the Tigers fell to 11-28.

Nevada scored the first 11 runs on the game and cruised to the easy victory over the Tigers.  The Pack scored two or more runs in each of the first five innings of the game.  

Seven Pack players had multiple hits in the game.  Jay Anderson (3-for-5,3R,RBI), Carlos Escobar (3-for-4,3R,4RBI) and Joe Kohan (3-for-4,2R,2RBI) each collected three hits in the game.  Escobar hit two home runs in the game including an inside-the-park homer in the fifth.  Kewby Meyer and Escobar each drove in a career-high four runs.

Freshman Barry Timko (3-0) the first of six Nevada pitchers earned the victory allowing two runs in 3.1 innings on the mound.  Joe Spizzirri (0-2) suffered the loss giving up six runs, four earned in two innings.

Nevada hosts Fresno State this weekend in a three-game Western Athletic Conference series starting Friday evening at 6 p.m.  Saturday and Sunday's games get underway at 1 p.m.
