RENO, Nev. -- The University of Nevada baseball team had its four-game winning streak end on Sunday, as it lost the final game of a three-game conference series to Air Force by a score of 7-3.

The Wolf Pack (13-7, 2-1) could not complete the sweep of the Falcons (6-12, 1-2) and dropped the finale of the series. Starting Nevada pitcher Tom Jameson surrendered six earned runs in 5 2/3 innings to take the loss (0-4), while Steven Trojan (2-2) earned the win and Bo Wilson notched his second save of the season for Air Force.

Nevada had six players with hits on the day, but had only one hit through the fifth inning. Jamison Rowe was 2-for-4 on the day with a run scored and Austin Byler was 1-for-3 with an RBI single.

Air Force got on the board first in the third inning when a throwing error by Shaun Mize on the back end of a double play allowed two runs to score. Peter Johnson came to the plate next for the Falcons and hit a two-run homer to left center, his only hit of the day, to put the Falcons up 4-0.

Air Force tacked on two more runs before Nevada responded with two runs of its own in the bottom of the sixth. Tommy Niebergall tripled to the wall in center field to score Byler, and Ryan Teel laid down a bunt for a base hit that scored Niebergall.

Nevada scored once more in the seventh to cut the lead in half to 6-3 before Air Force added one last insurance run in the eighth to seal the victory.

The Wolf Pack is back in action again on Tuesday, March 19 when it travels to San Francisco to battle the San Francisco Dons at 2 p.m.
