Rifle Tops UTEP, Remains Unbeaten at Home

The University of Nevada Rifle team opened their home schedule Saturday with a 4619-4556 win over UTEP. With the win, the Wolf Pack extends their unbeaten streak at home to 13.

"I saw a lot of good things," coach Fred Harvey said. "We can clearly shoot much better, it's there."

The Wolf Pack outshot the Miners in the small bore 2302-2244 and the air rifle 2317-2312.

"I started out pretty rough," said freshman Jessica Klatt, who finished a 579 in the air rifle. "It was like my shot didn't go off like I wanted to. I just couldn't get my shot."

The Wolf Pack will face UTEP again Sunday and pursue a 14 game unbeaten streak at home.
