Basketball Gameday Guide
Welcome to Lawlor Events Center, home of the Wolf Pack men's and women's basketball teams. Opened in 1983 and located at the north end of the University of Nevada campus, Lawlor Events Center seats 11,536 fans in an oval configuration with every spectator enjoying a center-court line of sight. Wolf Pack Athletics and Lawlor Events Center provides the following information (listed from A to Z) to ensure that your gameday experience is safe, positive and memorable: Address Arena Doors Arena Policies All items, including purses and bags, will be subject to search by arena personnel. Under NCAA and University of Nevada policies, there is no photography or videography of the game allowed with the exception of accredited media personnel and team officials. Professional cameras, including those with detachable or interchangeable lenses, or SLR or digital SLR cameras are not allowed inside Lawlor Events Center. Artificial Noisemakers ATM Machines Concessions Beer is sold at many of the concessions stands at Lawlor Events Center to individuals who are of legal drinking age. Sodexo reserves the right to refuse service to anyone who appears intoxicated. Disabled Seating & Services There is an accessible entrance from the first level of the West Stadium Parking Complex just north of Lawlor Events Center. Additionally, a public elevator is available on the ground level south side ticket entrance to the concourse level. The arena has a total of 100 wheelchair accessible seats. We ask that patrons who are in need of wheelchair accessible seats request only a ticket for themselves and one companion in order to accommodate all of our fans. Seating can be reserved in adjacent sections for additional friends and family members. There is also specific seating available for those with other types of mobility limitations. If you do not require a wheelchair accessible seat but have other mobility limitations, please inform your ticket seller. They can reserve the best possible seat for you. Assisted listening devices are available for check-out in the administrative offices on the ground level. Photo identification is required. Once you have arrived at Lawlor Events Center, please do not hesitate to ask our guest service staff for any additional assistance you may need. (http://www.unr.edu/lawlor/venue-information/accessibility) Fan Behavior In order to promote good sportsmanship and a positive and safe environment at Lawlor Events Center, Nevada has put a set of "zero tolerance" rules for inappropriate fan behavior during Wolf Pack basketball games. Fans who behave inappropriately will face arrest or be directed to leave the university campus as well as face confiscation of their event tickets. Fans who appear visibly intoxicated will be denied access to Lawlor Events Center and ejected from campus. Only alcohol purchased inside Lawlor Events Center will be allowed in the arena. Drinking alcoholic beverages while standing in line is not permitted, and fans who attempt to smuggle alcohol into the arena will have the alcohol confiscated and will be denied entry to Lawlor Events Center. Spectators are not permitted on the court at any time. Fan Services & Security If fans need assistance of any kind or see any problems at any of our events, please notify a Wolf Pack Ambassador, police officer or any member of the events staff or athletics department staff, so we can take care of the situation. First Aid & Medical Assistance Game Programs & Merchandise Silver & Blue Outfitters is the official merchandiser of Wolf Pack Athletics and will have a merchandise stand on the upper concourse for all men's basketball games and selected women's basketball games at Lawlor Events Center. Lost and Found Parking Free general parking is available in the lots to the north and east of Lawlor Events Center. The Brian Whalen Parking Garage (south of Lawlor Events Center) also allows free parking for fans on all levels on game days for weekend games only (and for games during the winter break from Dec. 19, 2012 to Jan. 22, 2013). The Brian Whalen Parking Garage is not available for weeknight games due to classes on campus. Parking for disabled patrons with appropriate plates or placards for both men's and women's basketball games is available on the first floor of the West Stadium Parking Complex as well as within close proximity to the elevators on the remaining five floors of the garage. Free parking for all women's basketball games is available on all levels of the West Stadium Parking Complex. All parking lots open two hours prior to tipoff. Pup Club Saint Mary's Pup Club members receive free admission into the men's basketball exhibition game for themselves and one family member with their Saint Mary's Pup Club lanyard. For all other men's basketball games, Saint Mary's Pup Club members can buy tickets for $6 for themselves and $11 for accompanying parents. The Saint Mary's Pup Club membership credential must be worn to gain entrance at the venue the day of the event. Saint Mary's Pup club members receive free admission to all home regular-season women's basketball games with their membership credential. Accompanying parents can purchase tickets for $7. Player Pass Gate Restrooms Student Tickets For games that fall on a Tuesday or Wednesday students may reserve their tickets starting the Monday of the week prior to the game beginning at 9am.For games that fall later in the week (Friday-Sunday) students may reserve their tickets the Monday the week of the game beginning at 9am.For a complete schedule of when tickets will be released please visit the FAQ page below. All student tickets are on a first come, first served basis, so reserving student tickets online is highly recommended in order to secure a free student ticket. Your reserved ticket will load on to your WolfCard, and that will be your ticket to the game. Students can also have their WolfCard swiped at the student entrance (based on availability). The student entrance opens one and a half hours prior to tipoff. Free admission to women's basketball games is available by showing your WolfCard at the doors. All students must enter through the main entrance to Lawlor Events Center, which is located west of the stairs (at the corner of Virginia and 15th streets). Smoking Ticket Sales Tickets can also be purchased by calling (775) 348-PACK (7225) or online by visiting www.NevadaWolfPack.com. The University of Nevada is not responsible for lost, stolen or misplaced tickets. Duplicates will not be issued for any tickets purchased on gameday.
