All academic decisions should be discussed with your Athletic Academic Advisor. This includes scheduling classes, withdrawing from classes, declaring your major/minor, missing class for any reason, and any other circumstance that could affect your academic progress.
Withdrawing From a Class-Student-athletes must meet with their academic advisor about withdrawing from any course. Proper paperwork must be completed to ensure all NCAA and University of Nevada guidelines are followed.
Scheduling Classes-Student-athletes at the University of Nevada take advantage of priority registration due to practice and competition conflicts. Each student-athlete should meet with their campus academic advisor approximately three to four weeks before the priority registration date. After that initial meeting, the student-athlete should then see their Athletic Academic Advisor to finalize their classes and times.
Declaring Major/Minor- Talk to your academic advisor about declaring your major.
Summer School Aid- Talk to your academic advisor about wanting to take summer school. If you are on athletic aid, you may request summer school aid. Fill out a summer school application and coordinate with your academic advisor.
