Wine Tasting, Dinner & Auction Set for June 2





RENO, Nev.   The University of Nevada Athletics Department will play host to the 31st annual Wolf Pack Wine Tasting, Dinner and Auction on Saturday, June 2 in the Rose Ballroom of John Ascuaga’s Nugget in Sparks.

Doors for the event, which is the oldest wine tasting, dinner and auction in northern Nevada, will open at 5 p.m.  Wine, beer and spirits tasting will take place from 5 to 7 p.m. to the sounds of local band, Sol Jibe. A sit-down dinner will be served at 7 p.m. followed by a live auction.

Tickets for the 31st annual Wolf Pack Wine Tasting, Dinner and Auction are $75 each (tables of 10 available) and may be purchased by calling the AAUN at 775-682-6902.  Tickets may also be purchased at the Whispering Vine Wine Company in Reno, where customers will receive a bottle of Fantelli Chardonnay with each pair of tickets purchased.

This longstanding Nevada tradition is sponsored by Lovett Rock Retaining Walls and brought to you by John Ascuaga's Nugget, the Whispering Vine Wine Company and the University of Nevada Athletics Department.

Emily Capaul

Rifle

Freshman Emily Capaul was selected for the NCAA Rifle Championships next week at the University of Alaska, Fairbanks. Capaul is one of two at-large individuals selected to compete in air rifle and will compete March 14. The Sutter, Calif. native posted a season-best score of 594 at the NCAA qualifier at UTEP. She also had scores of 593 versus Air Force and 589 versus Jacksonville State during the season.
