Inaugural student-athlete Thank-A-Thon begins April 28

Nevadatude Equals Gratitude

Nevadatude Equals Gratitude

April 26, 2014

Starting Monday, more than 150 Wolf Pack student-athlete volunteers will share their appreciation for Wolf Pack donors by participating in the inaugural Student-Athlete Thank-A-Thon.

Students from all 16 sport programs, rotating through 90-minute shifts in the press box at Mackay Stadium, will show their gratitude by calling or writing to more than 2,200 athletics donors.

The ultimate goal of the thank-a-thon is to show athletics donors that Nevadatude also means gratitude by engaging student-athletes in the philanthropic process.

“Donations play a critical role in the success of the Wolf Pack. Donors and student-athletes don’t always have an opportunity to interact directly with each other. The Thank-A-Thon is an avenue to bring the donor and student-athlete together and simply say 'thank you,'” said Tara Hawkins, Nevada's director of annual giving.

The Thank-A-Thon will run from 5-8:30 p.m. April 28-May 2. Be sure to check back with NevadaWolfPack.com after the conclusion of this year’s Thank-A-Thon for a recap of the event.
