Nevada Athletics Hall of Fame Criteria





 University of Nevada Athletics Hall of Fame Criteria

 

Player

1.  Becomes eligible 10 years after last competition.

2.  Should have earned All-America, All-Region or All-Conference honors or own NCAA, conference or school records.

3.  Consideration will be given to individuals who exhibit a high level of professional and personal integrity and contribute to the ideals of their sport or sports.

4.  Should have the recommendation of the coach he or she played for at Nevada.

5.  Unanimous vote of the Hall of Fame committee (quorum consists of one member less than the total number of committee members).

6.  Approved by the senior intercollegiate athletics staff.

 

Coach

1.  Becomes eligible five years after coaching career at Nevada has ended.

2.  Should have produced a career record above .500 and/or produced conference championship teams or teams that have advanced to the NCAA playoffs.

3.  Should have the recommendation of the athletics director at the time of his or her coaching career.

4.  Must have complied with NCAA rules while at Nevada.

5.  Unanimous vote of the Hall of Fame Committee (quorum consists of one member less than the total number of committee members).

6.  Approved by the senior intercollegiate athletics staff.

 

Other

Special consideration may be made on a case-by-case basis to honor and enshrine other staff members and supporters of the program who have made significant contributions by supporting, promoting or furthering athletics at the University of Nevada in a non-coaching or non-playing role.
