Former University of Nevada pitcher Tom Jameson who signed as a free agent with the Arizona Diamondbacks after just completing his senior season has been promoted from the Arizona Rookie League to the Triple-A Reno Aces. The Reno native will join to Aces in Tacoma tonight.
In four appearances in the Arizona Rookie League Jameson tossed five innings and did not allow a run while earning a save.
Jameson posted a 20-18 record with a 4.38 ERA and 157 strikeouts at Nevada. He appeared in 60 games and made 53 starts on the mound. After going 7-2 with a 2.55 ERA his junior season he earned first-team All-Western Athletic Conference honors. His 20 wins is tied for eighth most in school history and 328.2 career innings pitched ranks third. In addition to the 20 wins he recorded two saves his freshman year and tossed four complete games.
