Nevada Named to the 2010 WAC Preseason Coaches’ team at first base earning the preseason honor for the third consecutive year...collegebaseballinsider.com named him the most underrated hitter in the WAC according to the conference coaches surveyed...three-time second-team All-WAC first baseman who returns for his senior season at Nevada and will again start at first base along with hitting in the middle of the lineup..currently hitting .385(10-for-26) with six RBI and three doubles during an eight-game hitting streak he will carry into the 2010 season...eight-game hit streak is the fifth longest active streak in the WAC heading into the season...49 career doubles is sixth in Nevada history, 172 RBI is eighth...has played in 175 of a possible 177 games during his first three seasons starting 172...has pitched during spring ball and could be used in relief this season...has made five appearances on the mound in his three seasons but did not take the mound a year ago...three times has been named WAC Hitter of the Week during his career...87 hits in 2007 is tied for the seventh best season at Nevada, 60 games played in 2008 is tied for fifth in Pack history and 59 games played in 2007 is tied for 10th.

2009(Jr.): Earned second-team All-WAC honors at first base for the third consecutive season and was named to the WAC Preseason Coaches’ team at first base for the second consecutive year...appeared in all 56 games earning starts in 55...54 starts at first base and one at designated hitter...led the team with 62 RBI, 70 hits, 36 walks and tied for first with four sacrifice flies while ranking in the top four in seven additional categories: batting average(.329,2nd), slugging %(.469,3rd), on base %(.424,2nd), runs scored(41,3rd), doubles(16,2nd), home runs(4,T4th) and total bases(100,2nd)...22 multi hit games tied Tyson Jaquez for tops on the squad and his 16 multi hit games led the team and tied for eighth in the WAC...hit .353(12-fo-34) with 10 runs scored, 17 RBI, two doubles, a triple and a home run during a nine-game hitting streak that was the fifth longest on the team...hit a grand slam in the Pack’s 11-7 victory at LA Tech(4/4)... four hits in a 4-for-5 performance vs. Utah Valley(2/29) are a season-high and tied for the high by a Pack player this season...drove in both runs in the Pack’s 2-1 victory over Oregon(3/15)...had started 106 games in a row at first base dating back to March 18, 2007 versus Utah Valley until March 7, 2009 versus Washington when he came off the bench to pinch hit and play first base...34 RBI in WAC play topped the conference and 20 walks was third and 110 plate appearances eighth...62 RBI on the season was ninth in the WAC and 36 walks was tied for eighth...earned third letter.

2007(Fr.): Put together one of the top seasons by any freshman in the history of Wolf Pack baseball being named to four freshmen All-America teams; Louisville Slugger, Rivals.com, Jewish Sport Review and Pingbaseball.com (2nd team)...named WAC Freshman of Year and joined former Pack catcher Brett Hayes(2003) as the second Nevada player to earn the honor...second-team All-WAC first baseman...won the WAC batting title with a .392 average and .424 average in WAC play was second to teammate Terry Walsh...hit a three-run homer in his first collegiate at bat as pinch hitter in the second game of the season at St. Mary’s(1/27)...twice earned WAC Hitter of the Week honors(April 9-15 when he hit .438(7-for-16) with five runs scored, four home runs and six RBI) and (April 30-May 6 when he hit .647(11-for-17) with five runs scored, three doubles, a triple and four RBI)...named to the All-WAC Tournament team after hitting .333(7-for-21) with four runs scored, two doubles, a home run and three RBI as the Pack finished second...blasted three home runs in consecutive at bats versus SJSU(4/14) which was a team game-high and tied for the high by any player in the WAC...hit .389(14-for-36) with six runs scored, a double, a triple and 14 RBI during a 9-game hit streak that tied David Ciarlo for the second longest on the team...in addition to leading the Wolf Pack in hitting he topped the team offensively in slugging percentage (.586), on base percentage(.461), runs scored (44), hits (87), runs batted in (50), doubles (17), triples (4), total bases (130), at bats (222), total plate appearances (257), and walks (28)...87 hits and .461 on base percentage ranked third in the WAC while he also ranked sixth in slugging percentage (.586), tied for ninth with 50 RBI, tied for seventh with 17 doubles, tied for sixth with four triples and was seventh with 130 total bases...59 games played is tied for the 10th most in a season at Nevada and his 87 hits is tied for seventh while the .392 batting average is tied for 10th...the left hander made four relief appearances on the mound...allowed a run in the season opener and was tagged with the loss.
