LAST WEEK’S RESULTS (0-2)
* Friday at Hawai`i
Nevada saw its three-game win streak come to an end Friday night as Nevada fell to Hawai`i, 3-0, in the WAC opener for both teams. Nevada's first good look of the game came from Jessica Thompson in the seventh minute.  With her back to goal, Cristen Drummond played the ball wide to Miranda Montejo on the left.  Montejo's cross found Thompson on the back post, but Thompson's attempt went wide.  Hawai`i took a 1-0 lead as Ambree Ako's shot from just outside the six-yard box beat Nevada keeper Marie Cove in the 14th minute.  The Rainbows increased their lead to 2-0 in the 16th minute as Taryn Fukuroku finished a corner kick taken by Nicole Mikula.  Cove punched away the initial delivery from the corner but Fukuroku collected the rebound and beat Cove with a one-time shot. In the 55th minute, the Pack earned a free kick just outside Hawai`i's 18-yard box.  Jill Erickson took the kick for Nevada but her low, driven shot went off the Hawai`i wall.  Fukuroku scored Hawai`i's third goal of the match in the 84th minute.
* Sunday at San Jose State
Blaine Dugan tied the game for the Pack in the 82nd minute but San Jose State scored the game-winner two minutes later as the University of Nevada soccer team fell at San Jose State 2-1.  Nevada started the game quickly, recording its first shot of the game in the 3rd minute of the .  match.  Cristen Drummond dropped the ball to Karen Zmirak whose shot from the right side went wide.  San Jose State took a 1-0 lead in the 8th minute as Jessica Scott bent in a corner kick from the left side. Nevada nearly evened the score in the 9th minute on a shot by Drummond.  Drummond won possession 40 yards out, dribbled through two Spartan defenders and found herself in a one-versus-one situation with the keeper, however, Drummond pushed her shot just wide.  In the 47th minute, Zmirak had another good look for Nevada, forcing San Jose keeper Nina Butera to make two quick saves.  On the play, Jessica Thompson gained possession in the midfield, turned and found Zmirak making a run down the right.  Butera came off her line to block Zmirak’s initial shot.  Zmirak collected the deflection and hit another shot that the San Jose State keeper blocked out of bounds for a Nevada corner kick. Blaine Dugan tied the game for Nevada in the 82nd minute as she bent a shot from the top of the box around Spartan keeper Butera.  Jessica Thompson who recorded an assist on the play now has 12 career assists which is first all-time in the career record book.  San Jose State retook the lead two minutes later as Kim Johnston scored off an assist from Lauren Ng-Pinkerton and Jessica Scott in the 84th minute.
