2009-10 (Senior):
Started all 34 games this season...finished fourth on the team with 10.4 points per game...pulled down 5.1 rebounds per contest (third on the team)...made 34.6 percent of his three-point attempts (37-107) and 80.9 percent of his free throw attempts (72-89)...was named the WAC Player of the Week for Nov. 16-22 after averaging 20.5 points, 9.0 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game that week...led the team with a career-high 26 points on 9-of-12 shooting Nov. 21 vs. Houston...also pulled down nine rebounds in that game...scored in double figures in 19 of 34 games this year...turned in his first career double-double with 16 points and a career-best 12 rebounds Feb. 13 vs. Boise State...led the team in rebounding five times this season, pulling down nine or more rebounds five times...dished out a career-best four assists three times this year and finished at 1.5 assists per contest...made at least one three-pointer in 25 of 34 games, including eight with two or more.

2008-09 (Junior): Played in 33 games with two starts...shared the team's Sixth Man Award with teammate Brandon Fields...was the team's second-leading scorer off the bench with 7.4 points per game (fifth on the team overall)...finished fourth on the squad with 4.0 rebounds per game and tied for third with 20 blocked shots in 19.4 minutes per game...ended up third on the team in free throw percentage at 81.0 percent (51-63)...would've ranked fifth in the WAC in free throw percentage but fell short of the minimum of 2.0 made per game...shot 31.9 percent from three-point land (30-94)...led the team in scoring in two games...scored in double figures in nine contests, including a pair of 20-point efforts...paced the team and scored a season-best 23 points in a Feb. 12 win at San Jose State...made 9-of-13 attempts from the field, including a career-best 5-of-8 three-point attempts, in that game...also led the team with 21 points Dec. 2 at Colorado State...made at least one three-pointer in 18 games, including seven with two or more...knocked down three treys Nov. 22 vs. Oregon State and Dec. 2 at Colorado State...pulled down a season-high eight rebounds three times, including the Feb. 20 BracketBusters victory over VCU...made 7-of-7 free throw attempts vs. the Rams...had a career-best four steals Nov. 22 vs. Oregon State.

PREVIOUS SCHOOLS
Played one season at the College of Southern Idaho in Twin Falls, Idaho...earned second-team All-Scenic West Athletic Conference honors...helped Southern Idaho to a 30-2 overall record and a 14-1 SWAC finish and championship...finished second on the team and fourth in the league in scoring at 16.8 points per game...pulled down 4.7 rebounds per game and had 43 steals...was third in the conference in free throw percentage at 84.7 percent and ninth in three-point percentage at 35.9 percent (78-217)...also spent two years at Indiana University...averaged 4.5 points and 1.9 rebounds per game as a redshirt freshman in 2006-07...shot 43.2 percent from the field (12-29 from three-point land, .414) and 74.2 percent from the line (46-62)...redshirted in 2005-06.

HIGH SCHOOL
A 2005 graduate of Deer Valley High School in Glendale, Ariz....was selected as the Northwest Region Player of the Year...was ranked 19th in the nation among guards by recruiting analyst Bob Gibbons...averaged 17.8 points, 5.3 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game as a senior...shot 53.0 percent from the floor that year...led Deer Valley to a runner-up finish in the Arizona 5A state championships in 2005...was named the MVP of the Republic All-Star Classic with a 28-point performance...played at Chandler (Ariz.) High School as a junior and averaged 20 points, seven rebounds and six assists...lettered four times in basketball and twice in track and field.

On pace to earn his degree in general studies in May of 2010...born in June of 1987...the son of Joe and Karla Shaw of Glendale, Ariz....has two older sisters, Atoya and Danielle...Atoya ran track at Nevada and is married to former Wolf Pack football standout Nate Burleson...is the brother-in-law of former Wolf Pack guard Lyndale Burleson...full name is Joe Dean Shaw.
